Jacob and Sarah Ober Brechbill settled here in Keyser Township, DeKalb County, Indiana, in 1864 by purchasing three hundred seventy acres of virgin land, and in 1882 they donated the tract on which the nearby Christian Union Church is located as well as the original boundaries of this cemetery.
