Trenton's Coca Cola bottling plant stood next to the Crystal Ice House and the old railway depot in historic downtown Trenton. Built by Mr. J. F. Haigler in 1925, it was purchased in 1956 by the Florida Coca-Cola Company of Daytona Beach. Mr. Eudell Parrish, a Trenton native, managed the plant for thirty-three years until it closed. On New Year's Day in 1975, after fifty years of continuous operation from 1925 to 1975, the plant shut down for the last time. Many Trenton residents remembered watching bottling operations through the large front window as children and being offered a warm coke by the plant manager. The building then stood vacant for almost thirty years before reopening on July 8, 2003, as the Suwannee Valley Quilt Shoppe and the Suwannee Rose Café after its purchase by Paul and Stephanie Metts on January 31, 2003.
