Bevier and Southern Locomotive No. 112, a Mogul Type 2-6-0, was delivered by Baldwin Locomotive Works of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on Nov. 29, 1920, and retired from service on Dec. 29, 1962, after running 364,562 miles. On January 1, 1963, J. E. Agee, president of the Bevier and Southern Railroad Co., gave it to the City of Bevier for placement in the park as a monument to the role of railroading in the business life of the Bevier community and to the steam locomotive era in the railroad industry.
