Wapama Falls is a year-round waterfall on Falls Creek along the northern wall of Hetch Hetchy Valley in Yosemite National Park below Hetch Hetchy Dome. The larger of the creek’s two waterfalls here, it drops just under 1,100 feet in three main sections: an upper free fall of about 300 feet, about 600 feet of steep cascades in a narrow gorge, and a lower drop of about 200 feet over an escarpment. Its middle cascades are hard to view fully from nearby routes, but the falls are especially notable for their close relationship to the trail, whose bridge at the base can be flooded during peak flow.
