Quaking Aspen Falls is a roadside waterfall in Yosemite National Park beside Tioga Pass Road, or Highway 120. An ephemeral, multi-stranded cascade with a segmented horsetail form, it is known less for size than for dropping immediately beside the road, and in peak late spring and early summer flow its spray can reach the highway. Fed by snowmelt from a small drainage basin with a tiny lake at its head, the visible cascade usually weakens and often dries up between mid-June and August, depending on snowpack, even though the stream continues above and below before joining Yosemite Creek. Its common name comes from nearby aspen trees.
