Lake Catherine State Park is a 2,180-acre Arkansas park on the south shore of Lake Catherine, southeast of Hot Springs, that combines public recreation with an important New Deal legacy. Developed in the 1930s by the Civilian Conservation Corps, it preserves rustic stone-and-wood structures that still shape its character and are recognized on the National Register of Historic Places. Among the most notable are its CCC cabins, including three built for tourists that still serve that role and a fourth, now the Nature Cabin, used for exhibits. With its lakefront setting, trails, and historic architecture, the park stands as a preserved example of CCC park design in Arkansas.
