Red Rock Landing Conservation Area in eastern Perry County, Missouri, was established by the Missouri Conservation Department in November 1994 as a 554-acre protected tract along the Mississippi River near Perryville. It includes about a mile of river frontage, roughly half a mile of Cinque Hommes Creek, timber, upland and bottomland fields, and seven ponds. The riverbank preserves some of the best remaining riparian habitat on this part of the Mississippi. Acquired primarily for public fishing access, it offers favorable bank fishing conditions for catfish and other large river species, while managed forest, hiking trails, and small campsites support additional recreation.
