Mr. and Mrs. T.H. Palmer

Mr. and Mrs. T.H. Palmer, Sr. came to Eufaula in a covered wagon in 1915. After settling down, he began selling apples from Judge Mills' orchard. He then built a little store at the edge of town. In 1927 he bought a block of property at what is now 123 Selmon and 1st streets, where he built a brick grocery store, an abstract office, and several other business offices. In 1936 he built Palmer Wholesale Grocery, which later became known as Palmer-Swadley Wholesale. Their children were Willie, Arthur, Pauline, Ruby, T.H. Jr., Jimmy, Marguerite, and Allen.
