Midway Presbyterian Church overlooks the cemetery where two Revolutionary War soldiers are buried, William McIntosh and John J. Reardon. At age 16, McIntosh joined General Francis Marion's "Little Band of Patriots." In 1801 he helped organize and build Midway Church, where he served as ruling elder for twenty years.
