Anthony Lakes is a compact ski area in northeastern Oregon in the Elkhorn Range of the Blue Mountains within the Wallowa-Whitman National Forest. West of North Powder and near La Grande and Baker City, it has an 8,000-foot summit and a 900-foot vertical drop. A single triple chairlift serves terrain aimed mostly at intermediate and expert skiers. In addition to downhill runs, it offers snowcat skiing on nearby peaks, a boardercross course, and a separate Nordic center with maintained cross-country trails. Its high-elevation setting and access to backcountry routes such as Angell Basin make it a distinctive eastern Oregon skiing destination.
