Bear Creek Falls is the lower and final of the North Fork Skykomish River’s two named waterfalls in Washington, lying within a short, narrow canyon. Though only about twenty-five feet, or roughly eight meters, high, it does not fall in one clear drop but descends through a series of cascades and punchbowls. Its importance lies less in height than in the strong volume of water surging through the gorge. The canyon’s sharp twists also limit visibility, making parts of the falls difficult to see and especially challenging to photograph.
