Since 1757 A.D., the Gospel of Jesus Christ has been preached on or near this site without interruption. This church, known as Old St. Paul's Church and first known as the Dutch Meeting House, is the mother church of most of the Reformed and Lutheran churches of western North Carolina. The present brick building is the congregation's third edifice.
