Roberson Museum and Science Center in Binghamton, New York, is a nonprofit educational institution devoted to art, regional history, science, and natural history. Created through Alonzo Roberson’s 1934 will and opened to the public in 1954 after Margaret Roberson’s death, it centers on the 1906 Roberson Mansion designed by C. Edward Vosbury. Major expansions in 1966 and 1984 added exhibition space, a planetarium, offices, storage, and preparation areas. Its permanent exhibits connect the Roberson family and local lumber business to regional history, present the Haudenosaunee Confederacy’s history and continuing presence, and feature model railroading, natural specimens, and Edwin Albert Link’s legacy.
