Built in 1880 as the First Wesleyan Methodist Church of Bedford on land conveyed by Richard and Ann Bibb, this building was constructed by the pastor, Rev. J. B. Sellick. In 1927 the Wesleyan Conference sold the property to Liberty Corners Community Church, and in 1929 it was acquired by Liberty Corners Aid, a group of young women. They conducted a Sunday School here for several years and in 1940 gave the property to the newly organized Liberty Corners Lutheran Church. That congregation, later called St. Luke's Evangelical Lutheran Church of Liberty Corners, worshipped here until the dedication in 1964 of its new sanctuary across Jackman Rd. Thereafter the building was used for Sunday School classes until 1993.
