Fox Cemetery was set aside as a burial ground by Joseph Fox. His daughter Sarah K. was the first person buried here on Aug. 24, 1852. The grounds are cared for by descendants and friends. Joseph Fox was born in 1800 in London and died in Prospect, Texas, in 1872. He was a physician. Many prominent early settlers are interred here.
