The land for this building was donated to the Western Laurens County Fire District by Joseph Edwin and Francis P. O'Dell as a memorial to their son, Simuel Dennis O'Dell, one of the original Western Laurens County firemen. He was born August 31, 1951, and died April 15, 1993.
