McVay Rock State Recreation Site is an Oregon state park managed by the Oregon Parks and Recreation Department. The park entered public ownership sometime between 1970 and 1974, when it was acquired from private owners. Its name preserves the memory of nearby McVay Rock, once a local landmark. That rock was later demolished for gravel and fill, and the place where it stood is now occupied by a small housing development.
