St. Mary Anne’s Church, erected in 1742, is one of the oldest buildings in Cecil County. Its cornerstone bears the initials of the rector and vestrymen of that time. Communion vessels, a Bible, and a Book of Common Prayer presented in 1718 by Queen Anne of England are still used for special services.
