Carr Creek State Park in Knott County is a small Kentucky park along Kentucky Route 15, built around access to the much larger Carr Creek Lake. The park covers 29 acres, while the 750-acre lake shapes most of its recreation. Facilities include a 39-site campground, a full-service marina with a snack bar and boat rentals, and a swimming beach. That beach, at 480 feet long, is the longest in the Kentucky state park system. Despite its modest size, the park is significant as a lakeside recreation center for boating, camping, and swimming in eastern Kentucky.
