1835 Spring Arbor Village Plot

The Spring Arbor village plot of 1835 contained 128 lots and 30 acres on the south side and 210 acres on the north side, excluding village lots. Land was donated for two colleges, Methodist Episcopal in 1835 and Free Will Baptist in 1844. The first lots sold were James Taylor's Lots 6 and 12 on 5-29-1835, located in the field to the right; Thomas Wiley's Lots 9, 10, and 11; and William R. Thompson's Lots 3 and 4. Land for Falling Waters Park was donated by its neighbors, George and Faith Kline, on August 31, 1992.
