Salmon Creek Falls is a 120-foot waterfall in the southern Big Sur region of California, in the Monterey Ranger District of Los Padres National Forest and the Silver Peak Wilderness. Formed where Salmon Creek descends a canyon on the southwestern slope of the Santa Lucia Range, the creek passes through smaller cataracts for about 1.4 miles before reaching the main falls. There, water gathers behind large boulders, curves around them, and drops 12 feet over a steep cliff into a shallow pool before continuing toward the Pacific Ocean. A short unpaved trail from Highway 1 leads to a viewpoint near the falls, while reaching the base requires scrambling over boulders.
