Chesterfield County honors veterans who served their country and remembers county service members who died in the Afghanistan war beginning in 2001 and the Iraq War beginning in 2003, while also recognizing service across the Revolutionary War, the War of 1812, the Mexican War, the Civil War, the Spanish-American War, World War I, World War II, the Korean War, the Vietnam War, and the Gulf War.
