Resica Falls Scout Reservation near East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, developed from a jointly purchased property in 1955 into a Scout camp that opened in 1957 under the Philadelphia and Valley Forge Councils. Named for its 45-foot waterfall and crossed by Big Bushkill Creek, it was planned as a six-camp reservation but only three camps were built. As attendance changed, parts of the camp closed or were repurposed, while new facilities expanded Camp Big Springs. The reservation has also long served hunters and especially fly fishermen with permission. In 2006, a conservation easement permanently protected 1,028 acres from development.
