Rice Covered Bridge, also called the Landisburg Covered Bridge, is a historic wooden bridge in Tyrone Township near Landisburg, Pennsylvania, spanning Shermans Creek. Built in 1869, the 123-foot structure reflects the region’s 19th-century rural road network and uses a combination Burr truss and queen post design, a practical covered-bridge form that paired timber framing with protection from the weather. Recognized on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980, it remains one of Pennsylvania’s preserved covered bridges and an important surviving example of period bridge construction in the countryside.
