Kochendefer Covered Bridge is a historic wooden bridge in Saville Township, Pennsylvania, carrying a road over Big Buffalo Creek. Built in 1919, the 72-foot span uses a modified king post and queen post truss, a practical timber design of its time. It reflects Pennsylvania’s long tradition of covered bridges, whose siding and roof helped protect structural timbers from weather and prolong the life of the crossing. Its significance as a surviving early-20th-century rural bridge was recognized when it was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.
