Greenleaf State Park near Braggs in eastern Oklahoma is one of the state’s original seven state parks, centered on Greenleaf Lake, a reservoir completed in 1939. Known for scenic family recreation, it combines boating, fishing, campgrounds, cabins, trails, and organized programs with a quieter atmosphere created in part by restricting personal watercraft. An 18-mile trail loops around the lake and extends into nearby Camp Gruber land, adding a backcountry character. The park also preserves notable 1930s native-stone cabins and facilities built by the Civilian Conservation Corps, the Works Progress Administration, and German prisoners of war, with an accessible lakeside cabin added in 1994.
