A Grand Boulevard
Transportation
22
In 1905, Colorado state senator Edward T. Taylor expressed the hope that the road through the 12.5-mile Glenwood Canyon would someday form part of a grand boulevard stretching across the nation. Today, the canyon road is the most celebrated section of the interstate highway system in the United States, and the canyon's four full-service rest areas and recreational hubs are Bair Ranch, Hanging Lake, Grizzly Creek, and No Name.
