Candy Mountain is a small peak near West Richland, Washington, that rises above the Tri-Cities between Badger Mountain and Red Mountain and connects to Badger Mountain through Goose Gap. Part of a chain of low but prominent hills, it helps define the local skyline. A primitive road and a steep 1.4-mile trail lead to the summit, where remnants of an old radio tower remain. The trail passes interpretive displays about local plant life and the ice age floods, as well as glacial erratics. From the top, broad views include nearby mountains and, on clear days, Mount Adams and Mount Rainier. Local efforts have secured 200 acres to expand trails and strengthen connections to Badger Mountain.
