Lockville Canal Park contains the remains of three Ohio and Erie Canal locks: South 11, also known as Gristmill Lock, South 12, also known as Tennis or Tennat Lock, and South 13, also known as Rowe Lock. The remains of Locks 14, 15, 16, and 17 lie to the north on private properties. Mason marks are still visible on many of the stones, and although the canal bed is now dry, the towpath remains easily discernible. The park also includes the Hartman No. 2 Covered Bridge, a Queen Post Truss bridge with a span of 48, originally built in 1888 by William Funk or Jacob R. "Blue Jeans" Brandt at Wheeling Road over Raccoon Creek or Pleasant Run east of Lancaster. Little is known of its history, but in 1967 it was moved to a position between Locks 11 and 12 South over the old Ohio and Erie Canal.
