Wilson State Park is a thirty-six-acre Michigan state park in Harrison on the shore of Budd Lake, notable for its unusual in-town setting with easy lake access and recreation near the community. Its origins lie in land donated to the city in 1900 by a lumber company. After the Michigan State Parks Commission was created in 1919, Wilson became one of thirteen state parks established in 1920, with the property transferred to the state in 1922 and formally dedicated in 1927. Civilian Conservation Corps work there from 1939 to 1941 linked it to the New Deal era. The park remains a long-established destination for swimming, picnicking, camping, fishing, and lodge use.
