This historic graveyard contains graves dating back to the 1800s and includes many of the church’s founders, among them members of the Yeargin, Bramlett, and Holland families, as well as many other early church members. Another well-known member of Bethel, Dr. W.M.L. Austin, captain of the Jeff Davis Guard that fought in the War Between the States, is also buried here. Its newest expansion was completed in 1959.
