Reynolds Peak is an 8,517-foot mountain in Washington’s Methow Mountains, within the Lake Chelan-Sawtooth Wilderness of the Okanogan–Wenatchee National Forest. Rising about 3,500 feet above Reynolds Creek in roughly a mile, it stands in a rugged North Cascades landscape marked by steep relief and deep valleys. Its east side drains to the Twisp River and its west side toward the Stehekin River. The peak’s form reflects millions of years of tectonic and volcanic activity, followed by Pleistocene glaciation that carved the surrounding terrain. East of the Cascade crest, it has a drier alpine climate, with warm summers, lingering snow, and severe winter cold.
