This 1807 farm is the oldest continually operated farm in Haywood County. Ancestors of today’s Devon cattle arrived in this country in the mid-1620s. Their descendants have been at this farm since 1849. Original owners Colonel Thomas Lenoir and Captain Thomas Isaac Lenoir were prominent in North Carolina history.
