The Religious Society of Friends, or Quakers, established this graveyard in 1759 together with the beginning of Upper Evesham Meeting, now called Medford Monthly Meeting. The first recorded burial was Mark Stratton in that same year. Its plain, low stones reflect Quaker beliefs in equality and simplicity, and among the familiar local names buried here are Haines, Lippincott, Pickett, Stokes, Wilkins, Allen, Branin, Evans, and Jones.
