The Bobtown community erected this memorial in 1944 in honor of all those who served in the armed forces and in memory of President Franklin D. Roosevelt: Chester V. Brown, Michael V. Brozik, Jesse L. Franks, Wilbur D. Handy, David A. Kavlik, Clell Miller, Mike S. Nevedale, John Rohulich Jr., Emidio A. Rucceri, Fred J. Schofield, Rudolph Urnich, George W. Walker, Gerald I. Willis, Nick Yaksick, and John A. Zaher Jr.
