Stage's Pond State Nature Preserve is a 178-acre protected natural area in Walnut Township north of Circleville, Ohio, dedicated on August 23, 1974. Centered on a group of ponds, it includes a largest pond that is a kettle lake formed when a block of glacial ice broke off and later melted, leaving a basin. The ponds and surrounding habitat are especially important as a resting place for large numbers of migratory birds, giving the preserve much of its ecological significance.
