Logan Cave National Wildlife Refuge is a 123-acre protected area in the Ozark Mountains of northwestern Arkansas, established on March 14, 1989, under the Endangered Species Act of 1973. Centered on a limestone-solution cave with a spring-fed stream, it protects a sensitive cave ecosystem whose waters once supplied the Logan community, a fish hatchery, and numerous fish ponds before flowing into Osage Creek. The refuge also preserves notable evidence of Ozark geology and contains a diverse range of habitats. Its greatest importance is as critical habitat for the endangered gray bat, the endangered Benton cave crayfish, and the threatened Ozark cavefish.
