Naval Air Museum Barbers Point in Kapolei, Hawaii, preserved the history of the former Naval Air Station Barbers Point and the long naval aviation presence on Oahu. Established in 1999, it presented a broad picture of military flying in Hawaii through aircraft from the U.S. Navy, U.S. Coast Guard, and U.S. Marine Corps. Displayed aircraft included a McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom II, Douglas A-4 Skyhawk, Lockheed P-3C Orion, and Sikorsky UH-3H Sea King. After years of struggles with the State of Hawaii, it closed in June 2020, ending two decades as a local record of Barbers Point’s naval aviation past.
