Marin Art and Garden Center in Ross, California, is an 11-acre public garden and arts campus whose history reaches from Rancho Punta de Quentin, a 10,000-acre Mexican land grant later bought by James Ross in 1859, to its founding in 1945 by women of the Marin Conservation League under Caroline Sealy Livermore. Planned by landscape architect Thomas Church, the site blends themed gardens, distinctive brick walls, and historic and modern buildings, including the Barn Theater, Octagon House, art studio, Bottle House, and Pixie Park Playground. It also served as a county gathering place, hosting the Marin County Fair from 1947 to 1970, and was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2022.
