Theron Hayward was a member of Company F, 5th Regiment, Pennsylvania Volunteer Reserve Corps, and died at Washington, D.C., on January 2, 1863, from wounds received in the Battle of Fredericksburgh, at the age of 27 years, 8 months, and 17 days.
