Pegasus Peak is an 11,736-foot mountain in Idaho’s Pioneer Mountains within Salmon-Challis National Forest. Ranked tenth highest in its range and twenty-ninth highest in Idaho, it is one of the more prominent summits in the state’s central high country. The peak stands about 1.4 miles north of Altair Peak. Its importance is chiefly geographic, reflecting its place among the rugged, elevated terrain of the Pioneer Mountains and its status as one of central Idaho’s higher summits.
