Mount Blum, also called Mount Bald, is a 7,685-foot summit on the western edge of North Cascades National Park and the highest peak in a rugged line between Mount Shuksan and the Picket Range. Rising above Baker Lake and the upper Baker River country, it is known for hard granite that forms steep faces, small active glaciers on its north side, and the chain of Blum Lakes to the southeast. Its waters feed nearby creeks and dramatic falls, including Blum Basin Falls. Shaped by uplift, faulting, and glaciation, this remote mountain remains valued for austere scenery, alpine lakes, and wild isolation.
