Denver is a 48-foot Louisiana Lugger Style wooden tugboat believed to be one of the last surviving of its kind. Built in Bayou Gauche, Louisiana, in 1953 by Joseph "Yep" Dufrene for Victor Matherne, it remained in service from 1953 to 1980. Victor Matherne donated it to St. Charles Parish on June 28, 1999. Hull restoration began in October 2000, it was moved to its current site in June 2002, and restoration is ongoing. On April 11, 2000, it was designated an official project of Save America's Treasures by the National Trust for Historic Preservation, and its restoration has been a partnership between the St. Charles Parish Government and the St. Charles Historical Foundation.
