Pontiac Lake Recreation Area is a 3,745-acre state recreation area in White Lake Township in southeastern Michigan, west of Waterford, centered on Pontiac Lake and nearby woodlands and open land. Managed as a multiuse protected area, it supports both day use and overnight stays. Its facilities include a campground with 176 sites and 24 equestrian sites, a beach house, boat launch, picnic areas, a playground, a store, a shooting range, and a stable with horse rental. With 11 miles of trails for hiking, mountain biking, and cross-country skiing, plus 17 miles for horseback riding, it also offers fishing, hunting, metal detecting, snowmobiling, and swimming year-round.
