Boardman Peak
Nature
Boardman Peak is a 9,457-foot mountain near the center of Idaho’s Soldier Mountains in Sawtooth National Forest. With more than 300 feet of prominence, it rises just west of Boardman Pass, southeast of Iron Mountain, northwest of Smoky Dome, and northwest of Fairfield. No trail goes to the summit, although several routes pass nearby, and the climb is considered a class 2 ascent. The mountain’s northern slopes drain into Boardman Creek, a tributary of the South Fork Boise River, while its southern side drains toward Salt Log and Bremner creeks, which feed the South Fork of Lime Creek. Boardman Lake lies to its northwest.
