Mount Mitchell is a mountain in Oregon, southwest of Mount Hood in the Roaring River Wilderness of Mount Hood National Forest. Before 1923 it was called Oak Grove Mountain, although no oak trees grew there. The mountain was later renamed for Roy Mitchell, a World War I veteran who died while fighting a wildfire.
