Claire Lee Chennault was born in 1893 and died in 1958. He served as a Lieutenant General in the United States Air Force, was Senior Adviser to the Chinese Air Force Academy from 1937 to 1941, commanded the Ameriean Volunteer Group of the CAF from 1941 to 1942, served as Commanding General of the 14th Air Force of the USAF from 1942 to 1945, was Founder, President and Chairman of CAT from 1948 to 1954, and was Chairman of Air Asia Company Limited from 1954 to 1958.
