The Ruins is a complex of preserved and modified structures, along with the remains of the late 19th century Coxey Building pylons. Historians report that the structural steel once atop these brick pylons was salvaged from the 1893 World's Columbian Exhibition in Chicago. That steel has been repurposed again to create sculptures within Ariel-Foundation Park.
