The Affleck House in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, is a Frank Lloyd Wright-designed Usonian residence completed in 1941 and one of only about 25 pre-World War II examples of its kind. Commissioned by Gregor S. and Elizabeth B. Affleck, it gave Wright an opportunity to refine his ideas for building on steep, wooded terrain by placing the house in a natural amphitheater and integrating movement through the landscape into the design. Built of brick and cypress, it features a skylit loggia, a cantilevered living and dining area over a stream, and an unusually intricate plan. Donated to Lawrence Technological University in 1978, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.
