Seabranch Preserve State Park
Nature
Seabranch Preserve State Park lies on Florida’s Atlantic coast about ten miles south of Stuart. Beyond its role as a public state park, it is significant for its location at a climatic boundary on Florida’s east coast. The park marks the northern end of a subtropical zone and is identified as the most northerly nearby place with a tropical climate. At roughly the point where the tropical monsoon climate begins, it holds particular importance in phytogeography as a place where major plant-climate regions meet.
